Passionate about educational equity, the LPS Board of Trustees provide trusted governance and oversee our work. The members are highly engaged and actively committed to providing a high-quality education.

Dr. Elizabeth Baham

Chair

As the Founder and Principal of Inspire(ED) Solutions, LLC, she partners with educational institutions, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations to design equity-centered systems, strengthen learning outcomes, and expand access for historically underserved communities. Her work centers on supporting schools, educators, and EdTech innovators in developing and integrating adaptive learning platforms, standards-aligned curriculum, and inclusive instructional design.

In recognition of her work, Dr. Baham received the 2024 James Irvine Foundation Leadership Award for serving California students and creating pathways for nontraditional students to pursue college degrees and career advancement.

Dr. Irene St. Roseman

Vice-Chair

Irene St. Roseman, Ed.D is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in school leadership, program development, and culturally responsive education. She has held key roles, including Interim Principal at Aspire College Preparatory Academy and Co-Founder/Founding Head of School at Oxford Day Academy. Irene excels in fostering student achievement, managing large budgets, and creating inclusive, equity-focused environments. With a strong background in staff development, data-driven decision-making, and community partnerships, she is dedicated to improving educational outcomes. Irene holds an Ed.D. and M.A. in Education Leadership from Mills College and a B.A. in English from SUNY Buffalo.

Jocelyn Lee

Trustee

Jocelyn Lee is an accomplished educator with over 30 years of experience, a journey rooted in her academic achievements at Stanford University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in American Studies and a master’s degree in Education. Her career has included leadership roles from preschool through high school, where she has consistently provided invaluable guidance to teaching staff and championed practices designed to foster educational equity. Jocelyn is deeply passionate about ensuring every child has a positive educational journey, emphasizing the critical role of community engagement and strong family-school bonds.

Currently, Jocelyn is the Induction Program Leader for South San Francisco Unified School District and also actively mentors new teachers in the Alum Rock School District as part of the Silicon Valley New Teacher Project. Her expertise extends to leadership coaching, where she guides both new and seasoned administrators in adopting an asset-based perspective on student capabilities. Jocelyn’s ultimate goal is to empower teachers and school leaders to become culturally responsive, anti-racist educators who are laser-focused on delivering equitable student outcomes. She considers it a privilege to coach both new and experienced educators, recognizing their foundational role in achieving true educational equity.

Outside of her professional work, Jocelyn is the proud parent of two children, currently in 6th and 8th grade. Her family enjoys traveling, gardening, camping, and spending time outdoors exploring and appreciating nature.

Dr. Cynthia Rapaido

Trustee

Dr. Cynthia Rapaido, a veteran educator and committed equity advocate, brings over three decades of experience in public education, with a focus on transformative leadership, inclusive school culture, and mentorship. She has devoted her career to supporting historically underrepresented communities and advancing leadership practices that foster student success and systemic equity.

Dr. Rapaido holds a Doctorate in International and Multicultural Education from the University of San Francisco and has served in multiple roles across the K–12 and higher education spectrum, including teacher, assistant principal, high school principal, and university instructor. She is nationally recognized for her development of the “Fruit Leadership Style” framework and serves as a certified facilitator with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) Leadership Network.

Throughout her career, Dr. Rapaido has championed leadership development rooted in cultural responsiveness and equity. Her contributions have shaped programs that elevate diverse voices, build capacity among emerging leaders, and promote inclusive educational practices.

Mauricio Solis

Trustee

Mauricio Solis is a proud LPS Richmond parent and dedicated community advocate whose voice reflects the lived experiences, values, and aspirations of many LPS families. As an engaged father of two LPS students and a regular participant in Cafecito parent engagement meetings, Mr. Solis brings a deep understanding of the school community and a passion for student success.

He is a consistent advocate for family involvement and educational opportunity, and he has demonstrated a strong commitment to building trust between schools and the families they serve. Mr. Solis’s leadership is rooted in equity, cultural responsiveness, and a belief in the power of community voice to drive positive change.
